Getting Articles/Books from other libraries (ILL)

These will be filled digitally and sent to you via e-mail. You can also submit chapter requests for specific chapters of eBooks not part of NWP's collection.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a free service for NWP students, faculty and staff to request articles and books from other libraries including our partners in NEOS. You can keep track of your article/book requests on your online library My Account. You can use a blank ILL form or go to the item you would like to request and click the "Request this item from another library" button; this will fill out the item's information for you.
When your article/book arrives at the NWP Learning Commons, you will receive an email message at your school email account. You can then pick up your article/book at the Circulation Desk

Journal Articles: Requests can take up to 1.5 - 2 weeks to be filled. You will receive an e-mail in your student e-mail account that contains a link to the requested article. Download the article as soon as you receive this e-mail. Links are "live' for 14 days, or up to 3 downloads, whichever is less.

Print Books: Make sure the book is not available in another library in the NWP catalogue. If it is, place a hold instead. Book requests through ILL usually take 1.5 - 2 weeks to arrive; however, it may take longer.
