Current Students

Current students who are seeking academic accommodations are encouraged to contact the Accessibility Services office as soon as possible.

Please be aware there could be a delay in the commencement of services and specialized supports due to availability of resources and medical documentation. An Accessibility Advisor will discuss this in detail during the intake meeting.

To register with AS:

  1. Complete an online intake form at AS Clockwork login
  2. Submit medical documentation by email to AS@nwpolytech.ca
  3. Book an appointment with an Accessibility Advisor by phone 780-539-2017 or email AS@nwpolytech.ca
  4. Meet with an Accessibility Advisor who will determine your accommodation eligibility to receive services and supports

If you are struggling academically and suspect a disability, please contact Accessibility Services for more information on supports that may be available to you.

Letter of Accommodation

Students registered with Accessibility Services will receive a Letter of Accommodation stating their approved academic accommodations at the time of registering and at the start of each semester after confirming the supports required. The letter will be available through Clockwork and emailed at the beginning of the term. Instructors who are listed to teach the course will receive a copy of the Letter of Accommodation so they are aware of the accommodations but they are not informed of any disability information.

Students are responsible for requesting the use of accommodations within the appropriate time frames set out by Accessibility Services and are encouraged to share their Letter of Accommodation with their instructors to ensure their accessibility needs are met.
