Newton's Second Law

The acceleration of a body is directly proportional to the net force applied to that body and inversely proportional to its mass.

Equilibrium$$\sum{\vec{\textbf{F}}}=ma$$

From our visual on Newton's First Law, if player 2 begins pulling with twice the force, the net force changes to 10N to the right.  This results in an acceleration to the right that can be calculated using this new relationship.
