Student Research Expo 2026

The Student Research Expo is a celebration of the research Northwestern Polytechnic students do every day, both in and out of the classroom.

Each year we receive submissions from students who have completed or are working on research in their areas of study. Presenters must provide a poster summarizing their project.

Showcase Date: Wednesday, April 1, 2026 - 11:30 am to 1:30 pm

Where: Northwestern Polytechnic, Grande Prairie Campus

Application and Poster Submission Deadlines:

Friday, December 5, 2025 (fall intake)

Friday, March 20, 2026 (winter intake)

How to Participate

1. Prepare
   1. Check that you and your project are eligible.
   2. Download and complete an application form.
   3. Create a poster (up to 42"x24" in size) for your project using a template provided by the Learning Commons.
   4. Submit the completed application form and poster file by the above application deadlines to studentshowcase@nwpolytech.ca
2. Present
   1. Attend the Student Research Expo on Wednesday, April 1 to present your project.
   2. Congratulations -- you're done!

Please note that incomplete application forms, late application forms, and late poster submissions will not be accepted by Expo committee members.
